Core Team

Vince Vince Agard is currently a student at MIT in the Class of 2011, and is majoring in Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Science. Vince joined uService at its conception in the summer of 2008. Since then, he has worked with the uService team to prepare the website for its launch to the community. As Director of Interface Development, Vince maintains the user interface for uService.org. As an EAPS major at MIT, Vince is highly interested in Atmospheric Science and topics of climate and meteorology. He enjoys weather forecasting and often participates in forecasting competitions. He is a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma International Fraternity, and enjoys living at their chapter house in Boston. Vince originally hails from Gaithersburg, Maryland.Haing done a lot of web development in high school for fun, Vince has seen the growth of Web 2.0 and knows the best ways to make uService an easy to use tool.
Marvin Marvin Arnold was born in Belgium. He grew up in Silver Spring, MD and played soccer his whole life. His sisters have are a strong motivation for his interest in volunteering. He hopes uService will help convince others of the benefits of community service. Marvin has a very diverse background ideal for leading the team. He is a EECS major and was even double majoring with Aerospace Engineering for two years, so the technical issues are no problem. Also because with his extensive business background with Goldman Sachs, Booz Allen Hamilton, FINRA, and the MIT Media Lab, he knows how to translate technically sound ideas into profitable business models.
Melissa Melissa Brown is from Manassas, Virginia and will be graduating from Virginia Tech, May 2009, with degrees in Management and Communication. Post-graduation she will pursue a career in management consulting in McLean, Virginia.
Chris Christopher Corales is originally from Austin, TX and is currently a junior at MIT studying Management Science. He is active within the minority community on campus and is the student coordinator for the ReachOut child literacy program through the PSC. He enjoys pop culture, foreign foods and warm weather.
Marius Marius Žilėnas is from Vilnius, Lithuania. He is a successful programmer for the local government. With several years of advanced web development experience, he is overseeing the development team ensuring that best practices are followed. Although he is in Lithuania, the power of tools of the Age of the Internet make his contributions possible.

Patrick Patrick Brennan
Becky Becky Bermont leads the Media + Partners group at the Rhode Island School of Design, which seeks to create compelling external communications and relationships to strengthen RISD's reputation in the world-at-large. Media + Partners designs, produces, and maintains RISD's print, online and video communications vehicles, and leads communication efforts within the College and Museum. The team also forges partnerships with a network of innovative corporations and nonprofit organizations, including Target, GAP, and Toshiba, to create positive and powerful educational experiences for students.

Prior to her work at RISD, Becky was the Director of Sponsor Management at the MIT Media Lab, leading the program of interaction between the Media Lab and its base of industry sponsors like Google, IBM, and Samsung. In this role she built on the Media Lab's pioneering role in forging partnership between industry and academia.

Her career before MIT resided in the world of high-tech marketing. She was a Product Marketer in Yahoo!'s Connected Life group, helping to define and market Yahoo!'s products for the mobile platform. She also was a Consumer Research Analyst at Forrester Research, where she analyzed and advised companies on consumer attitudes and behaviors as they evolved through the mainstream introduction of the Internet. Becky holds a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Kady Kady Chiu is the creator of Kadidid, a marketing consulting firm focusing on enterprise 2.0 and change management, helping companies shifting through the culture changes into a more collaborative environment using social technologies. Kady is also the co-founder of 1Piazza, a web 2.0 community offering events to connect entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts, creating a platform in the DC metro area to support the technical and startup communities - empowering social knowledge T.

Prior to Kadidid consulting, Kady worked at HP for over 10 years. As a world-wide marketing manager at HP, her background focused around business development, global market expansion and marketing strategy. She is passionate about people and is looking forward to sharing new ways to connect people and knowledge using social tools. Kady holds an undergraduate degree and International business and graduate degree in Management Information Systems from University of Maryland.
